Caldwell Zoo Homeschool Happenings

Join Caldwell Zoo's life science classes specifically designed for homeschool students. 

Classes include age-appropriate animal information, activities/experiments, games, crafts and time on zoo grounds. All Homeschool Happenings classes meet in the African Huts (across from the rhino house) from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.  On class days, the Caldwell Zoo Teachers will meet parents and students at the zoo's bus parking lot on Gentry Parkway right next to the Sonic Drive-in.

ZooMembers:  $40 for 6 sessions

Non-members:  $50 for 6 sessions

All sessions require advance registration and payment.

Registrations cannot be accepted by phone.

HOME, SWEET HABITAT

We'll be visiting the desert in September then traveling to the grasslands in October.  November will find us in the rainforest while December will take us to the woods.  It's cold in January, so we'll be checking out the tundra and in February we will swim on over to see our aquatic habitats.

SESSIONS A, B, C & D ARE FULL.  WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY MORE REGISTRATIONS FOR THOSE SESSIONS.

SESSION A   4 & 5 year olds 

Meet on Tuesdays--9/13, 10/11, 11/15, 12/13, 1/10, 2/14

SESSION B   6-8 year olds

 Meet on Tuesdays--9/13. 10/11, 11/15, 12/13, 1/10, 2/14

SESSION C   6-8 year olds

   Meet on Thursdays--9/15, 10/13, 11/17, 12/15, 1/12, 2/23

SESSION D  9-12 year olds

Meet on Thursdays--9/15, 10/13, 11/17, 12/15, 1/12, 2/23

Attention Session C and D Homeschool Happenings parents and students:  The February class date will be February 23, not February 17.  The education staff will be attending the Informal Science Education Association conference on the 17th and will not be on zoo grounds.
