HOURS
The Caldwell Zoo is open everyday except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
March - Labor Day: 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Exhibits close at 6:00 p.m.
After Labor Day - February: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m
Exhibits close at 4:30 p.m.
ADMISSION
Children 2 years and younger: Free
Children 3-12: $5.00
Adults 13 to 54: $8.50
Seniors 55 and better: $7.25
PARKING
Free parking is available for all zoo guests. See highlighted map areas for locations of parking lots.
ZOO POLICIES
For your safety and the safety of the zoo animals, pets, fires and sporting equipment are not allowed in the zoo.
Picnics and coolers are allowed in designated picnic areas only. Caldwell Zoo animals are fed scientifically prepared diets. Please help keep all the animals healthy by not feeding them "people food". Duck and fish food dispensers (25¢) are available.
STROLLER, WAGON, WHEELCHAIR RENTAL
Wagons and strollers are available for rent at Visitor Services just inside the zoo entrance. Rentals are $4.99 plus tax ($5.40) with photo identification. Wheelchairs are also available for rent at Visitor Services just inside the zoo entrance. Wheelchair rentals are $6.79 plus tax ($7.35) with photo identification. The zoo accepts cash or credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card).

CROSSROADS TRADING COMPANY
The "Crossroads Trading Company", located at the zoo's main entry, features African artifacts and gifts as well as T-shirts, books, plush toys and many souvenir items.
Visa, Mastercard and Discover Card accepted with photo identification.

CHAKULA CAFÉ
The "Chakula Café" offers a unique dining experience at the African overlook, and features great-tasting hamburgers, hot-dogs and corndogs. A wide variety of snacks and beverages are available including soft serve ice cream. Dining area is for café patrons only.
Visa, Mastercard and Discover Card accepted with photo identification. Additional refreshment locations are open on a seasonal basis.

PICNIC AREAS
The Caldwell Zoo has picnic spots available for our guests. Located adjacent to the main zoo parking lot on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard are shady family picnic spots. Handicapped accessible picnic facilities are also available.
For groups arriving by bus, there is a special large picnic area near the bus parking lot on Gentry Parkway. Restrooms and drink vending machines are provided in the group picnic area.
Picnic lunches and coolers are allowed only in designated picnic areas.
